The collective will provide interactive and on line work shops, showcasing in beautiful venues and locations starting in the Nelson and Tasman region with ambition to build into New Zealand wide Hubs.
The professionals have the opportunity to a monthly meeting either in a local cafe or or in an industry members work place or venue.
The Hub offers an all year round showcasing of beautiful venues and event products and quality service providers. However this is not just a directory, its back to basics. Working together collectively to support each other and collaborate in exciting promotions. You have to be active to benefit fully. The Hub also offers great discounts for the Nelson Wedding Show, which is planned to be very different from the normal expo template as well as other venue showcasing etc.

The Launch of the Wedding Hub NZ June 2017
It is with excitement and pride that we can announce that Nelson & Tasman has now got its own Wedding & Events Industry Hub! The new studio is conveniently located at 78 High Street Motueka.
The founder, Terri Everett has been the “go-to” special events and wedding planner expert in the regions National Parks for nearly a decade. She has used her talent and experience, in that time, to develop an event platform that specifically highlights the local industries. All the best of the region’s service providers is brought together via Terri’s Kiwi-centric complimentary packages.
The Wedding Hub NZ was inspired by Motueka’ s very successful “Potter’s Patch” an artists coop. The Wedding Hub NZ is an Industry Group cooperative which tasks itself with monitoring standards and quality. It also assists members on how to better promote and sell the services or products they provide. The vision of the Industry Group and its’ members is to grow an online workshop, cross pollinate all marketing opportunities and add bulk buying advantages, as well as giving confidences to business who have ideas but don’t know where to take them.
The ambition to encourage interaction between all businesses has been launched with a Facebook profile that gains new followers every day. A dedicated website is in the works too, which will allow businesses to divert traffic to their own sites.
The Wedding Hub Studio will be a place for members to share their specific products and services. This space will also be available for temporary office use, consultations, with a hair & Make-up and photo studio station and workshops.
Part of Terri’s goal is to provide an all-year showcase for clients outside of the region. The focus will be on the region’s attractions. She has extensive experience in hosting/co-ordinating events of all sizes. One of her recent successes was the Motueka Kai Festival.
The premiere collective offering is the “Playhouse Pop-Up Wedding Package”. It is a venue that will be booked out by TheWedding Hub NZ for the day for THREE scheduled weddings/events in that time. This stroke of organisational genius means that the costs are shared and is scheduled for September 17th this year. The second much anticipated event is the “One Shot Wedding Showcase” an open day on November 19th where Nelson Bays Marquee Hire will erect their marquee for viewings. This is to be held at the exciting new event venue, Redstone Golf Course & Armageddon Paintball in Wakefield. It will bring together the cream of the industry providers to showcase their products and services. The entrance fee comes with a complimentary refreshment. The Wedding Hub NZ has also taken over the annual Nelson Wedding Expo. A change of management was needed to reinvent this top of the south showcase. It could not now be in more capable hands. Its relaunch is planned for May 2018. Keep an eye open for the date and venue confirmation. Terri’s event planning canniness believes that an interactive fair event is more suitable for todays’ eclectic type couples. The usual favourites like flowers, music, dresses and more will be there but it will be interlaced with catering delights, children entertainers and the opportunity to book from the very best vendors.
The display spaces have starting prices of $100 to entice even the smallest enterprise start-ups. Entrance will be $10 per person with a family ticket $25. A generous goody bag will be given to the first 100 brides-to-be with a further 50 randomly distributed throughout the day.
